Suspension Exercises Training(SET)
Many people think that suspension systems are usually used by athletes or adults, only few people would think that it can be used in a wide range of fields. The “suspension concept” has been used for decades in the physiotherapy industry, and it has been used in various fields of neurological rehabilitation, pediatric rehabilitation and orthopedic rehabilitation. With the improvement of hardware, the entire suspension system has been improved to be more systemic, and the effectiveness of treatment is more obvious.
Suspension system training includes weak link assessment, relaxation exercises, assisting limb movements, improving joint stability, muscle strengthening training, cardiopulmonary endurance training, open chain and closed chain exercises, and neuromuscular control training. Whether elderly or professional athletes, it can design different exercise prescriptions for different subjects to make the most effective training.

Under unstable conditions, it will stimulate the stability of local stabilizing muscles to prevent the occurence of spasticity. Training in open chain and closed chain movements increases proprioception and strengthens the feedback inside and outside of the joints. During the process of weightlessness, self-weight, etc, it can perform strength coordination training accurately. It can integrate nerve development therapy, sensory integration training, and guidance education. It can alleviate muscle tension, enhance muscle strength, and improve balance and coordination. The learning can be completed in the children’s active exercise.
Whole Body Vibration(WBV)
Whole body vibration training is to use the vibration of three-dimensional space (vertical, left and right, front and back) to do a sports training. In addition to inducing more muscles to contract, it can also stimulate proprioception. Therefore, whole-body vibration training can improve muscle coordination and recruitment, while also increasing muscle strength, making the body’s movement control more perfect.
Children with cerebral palsy cause poor movement control due to brain cell damage, which in turn causes difficulty in initiating, maintaining, or stopping movements and postures, resulting in delayed learning and development. Therefore, many researchers and therapists have recently applied whole-body vibration training to the treatment of children with cerebral palsy, and their research results have shown good results.
