TAN WOO TECK
Director of Cyriax Physio Rehab Centre
BSc. (Hons) in Physical Therapy

Mr. Tan Woo Teck qualified in 2007 with a BSc. Honours in Physiotherapy from KAOHSIUNG MEDICAL UNIVERSITY, Taiwan. His clinical background is primarily in treating musculoskeletal conditions, including sports rehabilitation. He completed the Kinesiology Taping Method, Suspension Exercises Therapy (S.E.T) for Neuromuscular Activation training, Neurodynamic technique (Nerve mobilisation) and Certified Unloader Bracing for Knee Osteoarthritis, amongst others, and earned the Master Trainer Certification in Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy ( SDCA) and Whole Body Vibration Therapy (Power Plate). He has successfully completed the first ever ETGOM Diploma course in Modern Orhtopaedic Medicine (Cyriax Orthopaedic Medicine) in 2015. In 2019, he commenced training in Hands-on Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Imaging with MRI Correlation.
From 2008 to August 2019, Mr. Tan Woo Teck served on the board of Spine & Joint Centre, managing 13 physiotherapy centres across Malaysia and was responsible for the on board training programs and the general directive of treatment policies. He was invited overseas to deliver lectures related to the assessments, treatment and rehabilitation techniques in multiple occasions. This continuous professional development and clinical practices have given Mr. Tan Woo Teck a depth of knowledge and experience in the wide areas of orthopaedics and sports medicine.
Cyriax Physio Rehab Centre is his latest personal venture aimed to provide various assessment, examination and treatment options for patients. Cyriax Physio Rehab Centre is the pioneer centre to introduce the modern physiotherapy and also the first in Malaysia to using Suspension Exercises Therapy (S.E.T) in Orthopaedic and Paediatric condition for diagnostic and rehabilitation.
WANG LI CHEN

BSc. (Hons) in Physical Therapy

Ms. Wang Li Chen qualified in 2007 with a BSc. Honours in Physiotherapy from KAOHSIUNG MEDICAL UNIVERSITY, Taiwan. Her clinical background is primarily in treating neurologic cases and development delay issues, including Stroke, Cerebral Palsy, Global Developmental Delay etc. After graduation, she focused on her professional career to complete “Bobath Approach”, “Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation” and a qualified Instructor of I.A.I.M. From 2012 to 2014, she completed “SpineCor Program” to be a qualified fitter for adolescent and adult.
During 2007 to 2009, she worked at Yunlin Christian Hospital in Taiwan and was trained as Paediatric Physiotherapist who need to be involved with Early Intervention Program at local government organization.
Since 2009 until July 2019, Ms Wang Li Chen work at the Spine & Joint Centre and was in charge of whole physiotherapy department. She was responsible for the new staff training programs and handling scoliosis cases and developed Paediatric Physiotherapy at Spine & Joint Centre to become Specialists centre.
Starting September 2019, she works at Cyriax Physio Rehab Centre and be the first to combine with Suspension Exercises Therapy (S.E.T), Whole Body Vibration, Bobath Approach and Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation to treat the paediatric cases.
CHONG AY WEI

BSc.(Hons) in PHYSIOTHERAPY

Chong Ay Wei graduated with a BSc. (Hons) in Physiotherapy from Chung Shan Medical University, Taiwan. As a student, she had clinical attachments at Chung Shan Medical University Hospital, Taiwan, and KK Women’s & Children’s Hospital, Singapore. She has a strong interest in treating musculoskeletal and neurological problems.
She has completed the Redcord® Introduction to Redcord Rehabilitation (IRR) and Redcord® Active Intro courses, enabling her to effectively assess and treat her patients using the Redcord® suspension training system. Additionally, she has completed a course in musculoskeletal ultrasound imaging, which enhances her ability to identify musculoskeletal issues through ultrasound.
EMILY FAM
Senior Physiotherapist
BSc.(Hons) in PHYSIOTHERAPY

Emily Fam graduated with BSc. (Hons) in Physiotherapy (Dual Award Degree - UK & Malaysia) from MAHSA University in Year 2019. During her studies, she had clinical experiences at various government and private hospitals including: Hospital Kuala Pilah, SOCSO Tun Razak Rehabilitation Centre, Hospital Melaka, Cheras Rehabilitation Centre, Island Hospital, Hospital Tung Shin and Hospital Klang. She also joined as a member of physiotherapy team in Sideline Medical Care and provided on field physiotherapy services in various international rugby competitions, hockey competitions and marathon.
She completed her GEMt Dry Needling Level 1 in 2023 and is qualified as a dry needling practitioner to effectively assess and treat musculoskeletal conditions using dry needling techniques. She has also completed the Redcord® Introduction Redcord Rehabilitation(IRR) and Redcord® Active Intro courses. These certifications enable her to use the Redcord suspension training system for rehabilitation, injury prevention, and performance enhancement, focusing on functional movement and neuromuscular activation. With these qualifications, she is committed to provide high-quality evidence-based therapeutic interventions that help everyone achieve optimal recovery and performance.
In addition, she has also completed specialized training in musculoskeletal ultrasound imaging, enabling more accurate identification of musculoskeletal disorders.
JASMINE TAN SU QIAN
BSc.(Hons) in PHYSIOTHERAPY

Tan Su Qian graduated with Bachelor in Physiotherapy (Hons) (Dual Award Degree - UK & Malaysia) from Mahsa University. She gained experience in seeing different conditions from both government and private setting during clinical posting. Throughout her studies, She was also interested in joining different event to provide physiotherapy care such as charity walk, stroke support group, free clinic.
As a Physiotherapist, She find it deeply gratifying to see patients progress in their recovery and regain their independence. This is what motivates her to provide the best possible care.
TER CHIN RAY
BSc.(Hons) in PHYSIOTHERAPY

Ter Chin Ray, a qualified physiotherapist who graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Hons) from MAHSA University, under a Dual Award Degree programme from the UK and Malaysia.
Throughout clinical training, he was posted to various healthcare settings, including private physiotherapy clinics, medical centres, and elderly care facilities such as Your Physio Alam Damai, Econ Medicare Johor and Puchong, Heritage Physio Ampang, and Putra Medical Centre Alor Setar. These experiences allowed me to manage a wide range of conditions, including musculoskeletal injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, neurological conditions, and geriatric care.
I believe in delivering patient-centred care by understanding each patient’s needs and goals, and I work closely with them to support their recovery and improve their overall quality of life. As a physiotherapist, I am responsible, approachable, and eager to continuously learn and improve my clinical skills. I am committed to providing safe, effective, and evidence-based treatment while building trust and good communication with my patients.
YAP KAH WEI
BSc.(Hons) in PHYSIOTHERAPY

Yap Kah Wei, graduated from I-Shou University in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, with a professional background in physical therapy. He completed clinical internships at Tainan Veterans General Hospital and E-Da Hospital in Kaohsiung, gaining solid and diverse hands-on experience across both public and private healthcare systems. He has a strong interest in pediatric physical therapy, with a particular focus on the integration of motor development, functional assessment, and clinical application.
In addition, he has long-term experience in various ball sports and martial arts training, providing him with a strong understanding of movement, body control, and physical performance. He continues to refine his professional skills in clinical practice and is committed to providing reliable and professional support to both the team and those he serves.
